I'm highly interested in buying a brand new pair of Sennheiser 650HD headphones. Even though they've been released for a long time now, the price still remains quite high (even if they are well worth it). I couldn't find any as of yet cheaper than 269€ including shipping (I live in France).
They bargained these headsets for 159€ on a french website a couple of months ago and i saw it too late they were already all gone (omg /wrists).
I'm looking for cheaper than normal retail price, even though if i can't find any cheaper i'll probably get them anyway eventually. (Yes, french people are all greedy, sorry)
Also, I would like to ask people who know a bit about audiophile stuff (because obviously I'm a total newb) advice for a good Amp to go with it.
My only criteria is that the Amp needs to remain under 500€, has to possess a built-in USB DAC so that i can use it with my laptop, and ultimately a good crossfeed filter. So far (and for those who know it) the CORDA CANTATE from Jan Meier sounds the most appealing (http://www.meier-audio.homepage.t-online.de/) since they seem to have discontinued the CORDA ARIA model by now.
I've had the chance to listen to music with these headphones already but on a more expensive audio setup (BelCanto DAC and an Amp i can't even remember the name of) and it sounded like...whoa ... The headphones don't sound "shitty" when you plug them directly in your computer or any other device but the music sounds so good when using an amp...
